How Flourish handles your data

Who can see your responses

Your reflections, portrait, and insights are private to your account. Other users cannot see your data. Flourish uses row-level security, which means the database enforces that each account can only access its own information.

As the team running Flourish, we have administrative access to the platform. This means we can access data for operational purposes such as diagnosing technical issues. We do not read your reflections unless you ask us to help with a problem.

What we store

We store your account email, your responses to reflection questions, the portrait and insights generated from those responses, and your activity within the app. We use this information to provide the core functions of Flourish: generating your portrait, detecting patterns, and personalising your experience over time.

AI and your data

Flourish uses Claude, an AI made by Anthropic, to generate portrait observations, detect patterns, and facilitate conversations. Your responses are sent to Anthropic's API to produce these outputs. Anthropic's API does not use your data to train AI models. You can read Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.

Your rights

You can request an export of all your data or ask us to delete your account by emailing us at hello.flourish.2026@gmail.com. We will action all requests within 7 days. Account deletion is permanent after 30 days.
